Your guy friend talks to you for hours but...?

okk. so this guy and i have been friends for about a year now and were pretty close. we once talked for 5 hours and usually talk like 1 to 3 hours every other night. And he calls me pretty and says like all this nice stuff. so i thought "hey maybe he likes me". but then the last time we talked he kept going on about this other girl. he said that he liked her. he described exactly how i feel about him. my friend thinks hes just tryinto to get my jealous since i claim to not like anyone. My friend also thinks i should just tell him how i feel. but what if he really does like this other girl? I am super confused!
