How long do airsoft gun batteries last?

the guy at the store said my battery will take 2 hours to charge, i used 1 clip (about 140 bbs) in about 10 min.. i disconnected the battery cause i got a tournament on thursday. how long do batteries last generally, and will it hold its life for 3 days or will i have to re charge it?
