Can you help fix my laptop?

We have wireless internet at my house. I got my laptop during Christmas and it was brand new. The internet has worked so far, but last week it just stopped. My computer is telling me my connection is either not there or not dependable and it says that my firewall is shut off. Whenever I go to turn it back on it says it can't and sends me to this whole list of computer programs (Not my control panel). I don't know what to do. Help me please.
