Why is it recommended that silicone o-rings NOT be lubricated with silicone lubricant?

The lubricant can attract dust and other debris that could contaminate the 'O' ring. Also, if there is any kind of hydrocarbon present in the lubricant, even though it is silicon based, and the seal is subject to pure oxygen, the presence of the hydrocarbon could cause fire or explosion.
