Is this a bad time to seek a relationship?

I keep running into women that are "So glad to be single.." It seems like the type of women that are looking for a relationship aren't the type of women I'm seeking. They seem more of a homebody, and sedintary. Should I stop puting money, and energy into dating at this point?
