I Want To Go To New York City...?

New York is a great place to live. There are so many place to go and so many things to do...it is so culturally diverse and there is always something special going on. The food is great--everywhere you go...one thing I miss when I visit other cities is in New York you can order any type of food at all hours of the night and they'll deliver it. However, you say you hate your town; as much as I love New York, if you didn't grow up here its a huge culture shock (I feel the same way when I visit other parts of the country). There is no other place like New York and that is a good and bad thing. People like me will tell you how great it is, but we grew up with it. We're used to going to Central Park and walking past the Empire State Building and all of those cliches people think of when they think New York. If you're coming from somewhere else, it may be different. You may have ideas in your head of what New York is like and how it may make you feel, but you may find yourself homesick. New York never stops, there's no break or vacation, and it can take a lot out of you. But if you're the kind of person who loves adventure and doesn't mind the hustle and bustle of a big city at all hours of the night, then I suggest you come down for a week or two and see how well you like it if you were to live here. Who knows, it could be the best decision of your life; it could also be the opposite. But if you don't try, you'll never know. I love this city and I hope you discover you do too. Good luck!
