Can you suggest a site that has useful, informative articles?

I want to know more about random topics for writing my personal statement for universities. Preferable about hot topics like biowarfare, point shaving in sports scandals, medical breakthroughs, teenage , gayism etc. Please don't suggest a site like wikipedia where you have to search for stuff since I don't have a lot of time. A site where you could just easily click through to get an article would be awesome! thanks in advance : )

Versions Of Internet Explorer 7?

When some people play a java game in IE7, for example at Pogo.Com, there is an edit box at the top of the Java window that shows the URL. Other people seem to have a version of IE7 that replaces the text of the TITLE BAR of the java screen with the URL instead. Where do I get such a version, and/or are there some settings I can change to make it put that URL in the title bar?

I want to buy an english encyclopedia for a friend but don't know which to choose because I'm german. Anyone know a 1-book encyclopedia, not too expensive? Thank you!

What to do?

Just be there as a friend and just listen to her. Sometimes that is all she needs. If you feel the need to say something just say you are sorry for what she is going through and that you are there for her no matter what happens. That is really all you can do... you know?
